DAY 7 - VICTOR HARBOUR 4TH MAY 2014
Got up early and went for a run as I feel like I haven't done anything much for a while. There is a bike track just out the front of the CP so I got onto that and went about 4kms along the trail and lost the trail a couple of times and then picked it up again so by the time I got back had been out about hour and half. Lucky me, Keith had cooked pancakes for breaky and the sun was out (my lucky day). So armed with the Sunday paper and sitting in the sun it felt like heaven just needs to be a touch warmer and it would be perfect. But the view from the bike track, that is perfect, out to Encounter Bay and granite island, the sun glinting off the water and a couple of yachts moored what more could you want.
After washing our sheets and towels we decided to take a drive to Goolwa and have a look at the Sunday market. Goolwa is about 15kms from Victor Harbour and was once a thriving river port. The last before on the Murray River before it reached the ocean and the bridge to Hindmarsh Island is located here just near the wharf. After a walk around the market had a look through town and a coffee and pie for lunch. On the drive back stopped at Gulwa surfbeach and took some photos from the lookout then drove back to VH and had a look at the classic British car show which is on this weekend, saw my old car there the Morrie Minor (I had a 1954 one for a while) that was a great car till I crashed it.
